Sources of renewable energy:
- BIOMASS:Biomass is plant or animal material used as fuel to produce electricity or heat.e.g.waste from forest
- HYDROPOWER:Hydropower, also known as water power, is the use of falling or fast-running water to produce electricity or to power machines. This is achieved by converting the gravitational potential or kinetic energy of a water source to produce power.
- GEOTHERMAL:Geothermal energy is heat within the earth. The word geothermal comes from the Greek words geo (earth) and therme (heat). Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source because heat is continuously produced inside the earth. People use geothermal heat for bathing, to heat buildings, and to generate electricity.
- WIND:Wind power or wind energy is the use of wind to provide mechanical power through wind turbines to turn electric generators for electrical power.
- SOLAR:Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the Sun that is harnessed using a range of ever-evolving technologies such as solar heating, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, solar architecture, molten salt power plants and artificial photosynthesis.
